Surprise! You’ve Got a Golden Ticket!

To celebrate this exciting launch, Avianca pulled a delightful stunt straight out of a Willy Wonka movie. Passengers on the inaugural flight received 15 ‘Golden Tickets’ for a complimentary dinner for two at El Chato, a top restaurant in Bogotá. Talk about a first-class welcome! Carmen Caballero, President of ProColombia, was thrilled, saying this route is a big win for tourism. I mean, who wouldn’t want to chow down on Colombian delicacies after a long flight?

Chicago Says "Hola!"

This new service has also been endorsed by Chicago’s commissioner Jamie L. Rhee who points out that it further solidifies the city as a prime link between North and South America. Avianca now operates an impressive portfolio of 150 routes and connections covering 75 destinations across 25 different countries. So if you are going to dance the night away in Bogota or demolish Chicago deep-dish pizza, go ahead — the world is your oyster. Just remember to bring the fork!
