Brisbane Gets an Extra Boost

From December 14 2024 to February 28, 2025, VietJet will streghten its Ho Chi Minh City (SGN)-Brisbane (BNE) range to five flights a week, which is more than the usual four flights. Host makes it clear who the boss is in the form of the Airbus A330-300. More meaning? More legs, more seats, and fewer arguments as to who controls the armrest.

Brisbane, why that one? Because it’s not only kangaroos and koalas. Rather, Brisbane is increasingly becoming a popular destination for tourists and even business travelers. VietJet has you covered, whether you choose to chase the sun in Queensland or even win over your boss in Australia trade deals.

Perth Joins the Party Too

Perth isn’t sitting this one out. Starting December 10, 2024, VietJet will bump its Ho Chi Minh City to Perth route from three flights a week to four weekly flights until January 12, 2025. That’s right, more chances to escape to Western Australia’s jaw-dropping landscapes, fabulous wines, and Insta-worthy sunsets.

Post-holiday rush, Perth is also getting a little love during Northern Summer 2024, with five weekly flights to keep the travel momentum alive. Oh, and they’re deploying the trusty Airbus A321—efficient, comfy, and ready to make medium-haul flights a breeze.

A Quick Peek at the Upgraded Schedule

Here is the cheat sheet for your winter travel plans:

  • Ho Chi Minh City to Brisbane: Five weekly flights ( This will run from Dec 14, 2024 – Feb 28, 2025) also in a spacious A330-300.

  • Ho Chi Minh City to Perth: Similarly, the frequency went up from 4 to 5 flights a week during summer 2024. All five flights will run on A321 during the rest of the period.

More flights= less FOMO. It’s that simple: more instances in less months.

Bigger Planes, Bigger Ambitions

Why the upgrades? Because VietJet isn’t just here to play—it’s here to dominate the Australia-Vietnam travel market. By swapping in the Airbus A330-300 for Brisbane, passengers get more seats and added comfort. It’s like moving from a cozy hatchback to a luxury SUV. And for Perth, the Airbus A321 ensures efficient operations without skimping on the good stuff.

This isn’t just about numbers; it’s about giving travelers options—whether you're a beach lover, business mogul, or just someone who really needs a plate of Aussie fish and chips.

Vietnam Meets Vegemite: A Market Ripe for the Taking

Australia and Vietnam aren’t just neighbors; they’re besties in the making. VietJet is tapping into a growing demand for direct routes between these two bustling regions. Vietnamese travelers are flocking to Australia for everything from epic holidays to catching up with mates, while Aussies are discovering the allure of Vietnam’s rich culture and epic street food.

More flights mean more chances for tourism, trade, and cross-cultural bonding. VietJet is essentially playing cupid, bringing these two nations closer with every takeoff.

The Final Boarding Call

VietJet’s winter upgrades are more than just schedule tweaks—they’re a declaration of intent. Bigger planes, more flights, and routes tailored to peak demand? This is how you capture a market and keep passengers coming back for more.
