Lufthansa and Thai Airways Expand New Codeshare
In a partnership that has been termed as relationship goals , Lufthansa and Thai airways have renewed their codeshare partnership making it much easier for Europeans to reach exactly where they want in south east Asia. From January 2025, the duo has launched some new routes.
The twist is off the wire you can now book a flight from Bangkok to Hanoi, Bangkok or Philippines as part of the extended codeshare. So for those who are looking forward to some street Vietnamese food, a motorbike ride around Saigon or some crazy karaoke nights in Manila, these two airlines are the best travel sponsors.

The New Routes (or as we call them, Your Ticket to Bliss)
- Bangkok to Hanoi: Because who doesn’t want to mix stunning temples with a side of pho?
- Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh City: The city where crossing the road is an adventure in itself.
- Bangkok to Manila: Karaoke, mangoes, and some of the friendliest locals you’ll ever meet—what’s not to love?
Why Should You Care?
If you’re a fan of fewer layovers and more seamless journeys, this codeshare expansion is basically a love letter to your travel plans. With one ticket, you can hop across Europe and into the vibrant chaos of Southeast Asia without so much as a hiccup. It’s like someone handed you a backstage pass to three of the most exciting cities in the world.
And let’s not forget: this is a win for business travelers, too. Forget those convoluted itineraries—this partnership means less time stressing over connections and more time making deals (or just finding the best coffee in Hanoi).
A Strategic Move with Big Vibes
This isn’t just about making our travel dreams come true; it’s a big deal for the aviation world. Lufthansa is diving headfirst into the Southeast Asia market—a region that’s hotter than a plate of pad thai. Meanwhile, Thai Airways gets to cozy up to Lufthansa’s sprawling European network. Everyone’s winning here.
What’s Next?
The partnership may transform several airlines and their services. This might be the genesis of a radical change in traveling worldwide. But before all these, let’s us enjoy these benefits.
