KLM Adds 3 New Intercontinental Destinations

As part of its international expansion, KLM has announced the addition of three intercontinental routes. From, there will be phased launches of flights from Amsterdam to San Diego, and Georgetown, and Hyderabad in India beginning in 2025. If time travel is possible, why not add some tacos, tropicals, or Indian food on top of tulips?

Here’s the scoop:

1. Amsterdam to San Diego – Sunshine and Surf
KLM will start serving direct flights to San Diego on May 8, 2025. That makes it their 22 nd direct connection to North America, disproving hurdles that they do like soft burgers and beautiful beaches. Relax on a comfortable Boeing 787-9 for about 11 hours. Even on its most inane days, the long flight will not be hindering.

• Departure: 9:50 AM from Amsterdam, arriving in San Diego at a very chill 12:00 PM local time.
• Return: 1:55 PM from San Diego, touching down in Amsterdam the next morning at 9:15 AM.

2. Amsterdam to Georgetown – Tropics with a Twist

KLM’s got you covered, if you are in a thought of Guyana then plan to fly with this airline starting June 4, 2025, as KLM will introduce/operate two flights a week.

A bonus is a very quick pit stop in Sint Maarten.The route in question is flown by the Airbus 330-200 where there are 18 World Business Class seats or where a large crowd can also be fitted in the Economy.

• Departure: 10:00 AM from Amsterdam, a short break in Sint Maarten, then on to Georgetown by 4:35 PM.
• Return: 5:55 PM from Georgetown, back to Amsterdam by 9:15 AM the next day.

3. Amsterdam to Hyderabad – Spice Up Your Life
As from September 2, 2025, KLM will fly thrice in a week to the ‘Pharma Capital of India’, Hyderabad to be exact. Its spicy biryanis, colorful bazaars, advanced industry all under one huge umbrella. Get on a Boeing 777-200ER which has enough space for all of you plus your souvenir spices.

• Departure: 11:40 AM from Amsterdam, arriving in Hyderabad at 12:30 AM the next day.
• Return: 2:20 AM from Hyderabad, back in Amsterdam at 8:40 AM the same day.
