Mangaluru to Singapore: Your Passport to the Lion City

Starting January 21, Mangaluru officially steps into the international spotlight with direct flights to Singapore—its first non-West Asia destination. Fancy, right? Flight IX 862 takes off from Mangaluru at 5:55 AM (just enough time to grab a quick coffee) on Tuesdays and Fridays, landing you in Singapore’s Changi Airport by 1:25 PM local time. The return flight? Departing at 2:25 PM and back in time for tea in Mangaluru at 4:55 PM IST.

This means you can now enjoy Singapore’s skyline, street food, and squeaky-clean MRT system without needing a connecting flight. Time to unleash your inner Crazy Rich Asian!

Domestic Bliss: Hello Pune, Hello Delhi!

Not one to leave domestic travelers behind, Air India Express is also adding new flights to Pune and Delhi.

Mangaluru to Pune:

  • From January 4, you’ll get two flights every Saturday to help you plan that perfect weekend getaway (or catch up on work meetings if that’s more your vibe).
  • Morning flights: Depart 8:00 AM, arrive 9:25 AM.
  • Evening flights: Depart 6:30 PM, arrive 8:00 PM.
  • Return flights conveniently bring you back to Mangaluru before you can say vada pav.

Mangaluru to Delhi:

  • Starting February 1, it’s a daily service because who doesn’t love the capital? Depart at the crack of dawn (6:40 AM) and reach Delhi in time for brunch (9:35 AM). The return trip? Same time, same place, just in reverse.
Why This is Big News for Mangaluru

Mangaluru International Airport is clearly buzzing with excitement (probably over some celebratory neer dosa), as this new connectivity promises to:

  • Boost tourism and make Mangaluru the talk of the town.
  • Enhance economic ties (translation: more business trips, fewer excuses).
  • Strengthen cultural bonds between India and Singapore, Pune, and Delhi.
