The inaugural flight touched down at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with a warm welcome from big names, including Kenya’s Principal Secretary of Transport, Mr. Mohamed Daghar, and Her Excellency Nasra Salim Mohamed Al Hashmi, Oman’s Ambassador to Kenya. Kenya’s Ambassador to Oman, His Excellency Abdi Aden Korio, cited the route as the only direct connection between Oman and Kenya. He further added that it will facilitate prompt travel for business men, government officials and tourists who are in search of adventure.

SalamAir, which commenced its operations in 2017, is a budget airline that has been gaining a lot of popularity. The airline has 13 Airbus A320s and operates six domestic flights in Oman.
